How long does the journey take?

The overnight journey from Hanoi to Lao Cai takes approximately 8 hours.

Is Sapa town right at the train stop?

No. Sapa is about 35 km from Lao Cai station. You’ll need to take a car through a scenic mountain pass.

Does the train operate on public holidays?

Yes. We operate year-round, including Tet and all major holidays.

Is it safe to travel by train?

Absolutely. Our train runs on dedicated tracks with full safety compliance.

How early should I arrive at the station?

Please arrive 45–60 minutes before departure, especially on peak dates.

What if there's an emergency?

2. TICKETS & BOOKING
What’s included in my ticket?

Lounge access, in-cabin drink/snacks, welcome kit, and onboard amenities.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, pre-booking is required.

How can I book tickets?

Via our website, hotline, office (Hanoi Station), WhatsApp/Zalo, or email.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer or in-person with cash.

How do I receive or check my ticket?

After payment, your e-voucher will be sent via email. Use the code at the station to print your boarding pass.

How do I request an invoice?

Select “Request an Invoice” during checkout and fill in your details.

Can I cancel due to bad weather?

Cancellations are only accepted in force majeure cases. Please refer to our cancellation policy.

Can I change my cabin after booking?

Yes, if availability allows. Fare differences and change fees may apply.

3. ONBOARD EXPERIENCE & POLICIES
Can I bring outside food/drink?

Yes. However, damage to linens may incur a cleaning fee.

Are pets allowed?

No, we do not allow pets onboard.

Is smoking permitted?

No. Our train is 100% smoke-free.

Can I play music or party onboard?

For the comfort of all passengers, no sound systems or loud activities are allowed.

What if I miss my train?

Tickets are forfeited unless missed due to company fault or force majeure.

Do you accommodate children?

Yes. Under 5s may travel free if sharing a cabin with parents. Extra beds incur a charge.

Can pregnant travelers board the train?

Yes, if pregnancy is healthy and without complications. Consult your doctor if unsure.

Are there interconnecting cabins?

No. But private coach arrangements can be requested in advance.

What documents do I need to board?

A valid ID and your e-voucher.

Is there Wi-Fi onboard?

Yes, but signal may drop in mountainous areas.

Which mobile provider works best in Lao Cai?

Viettel and Vinaphone offer the strongest coverage.

Are there restrooms on board?

Yes, shared but clean and well-maintained restrooms are available.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Unfortunately, not at this time.

What languages do staff speak?

English and Vietnamese.

What’s inside my cabin?

AC, reading lights, power outlet, clean bedding, snacks/drinks, and fire alarm system.

Can I bring luggage onboard?

Yes. You’re responsible for your own baggage handling.

What should I pack?

We recommend light, warm clothing, mosquito repellent, and basic travel medication.

Who assists me during the trip?

Our onboard staff are available to help throughout your journey.

What entertainment should I bring?

Bring a book, tablet, or headphones for a peaceful journey.

Grand Suite Queen: Spacious, private, most premium. Ideal for couples.

Grand Suite Twin: Comfortable and private, ideal for 2 friends.

Grand Elite (Shared): Budget-friendly, perfect for groups or solo travelers.

6. DESTINATION & VIETNAM TRAVEL
When is the best time to visit Vietnam?

North: Nov–Mar is dry and cool. South: Dry season from Dec–Apr.

Do I need vaccines?

Not required but recommended: hepatitis, typhoid, tetanus, etc. Ask your doctor.

Is travel insurance required?

Yes. It’s strongly recommended and often required.

What is the currency?

Vietnam Dong (VND). USD/EUR accepted in some places. ATMs widely available.

Do I need a visa?

E-visa available for many countries. Some nationalities are visa-exempt.
